Overhaul Of Brighton And Hove Albion’s Digital Properties

Brighton and Hove Albion FC were looking to create a fresh and unique digital presence. Pulselive was engaged to create a new website, native apps (iOS and Android), and a new digital brand. Once the initial stages of art direction and digital branding had been completed I was tasked to be the lead web designer on the project.

The Challenge

As lead web designer I was tasked with creating a new website, with engaging features, subscription based video features, and as well as incorporating the new digital brand and giving the digital properties a distinct look and feel.

My Approach

To achieve this I -

  • Designed video features and promotional UI elements for both users and paying subscribers.
  • Created final visual designs to bring the website in line with web accessibility standards, incorporate the client’s new digital branding and convey a modern custom look.
  • Designed engaging and custom features such as a match centre, where the client could live blog match details with social media incorporated.
  • Presented visuals and UX processes to internal and external stakeholders to walk them through design thinking, approach and benefits to them and their users.
  • Collaborated with engineers, handing over designs in Zeplin with requirements, style guides, and UI kits, as well as being on hand for advice, design reviews, and design sign off.
